Our Johann
Albrecht "Vintage" violin is an ideal choice for the player who has exhausted
the potential of his or her current instrument or is ready to move to a larger
instrument. Each instrument is made in Germany by skilled craftsmen who share the
various tasks involved in the construction. It is then carefully varnished using a
technique to give the perception of age. After each instrument arrives at our shop,
we meticulously adjust it to ensure that it is easy to use and maintain. It is then
strung with Dominant strings. The rich, full-bodied tone of the Johann Albrecht
"Vintage" violin offers depth, brilliance and projection.
Each violin is outfitted with a
well-crafted Brazilwood bow of dense, firm, select wood which is capable of aiding the
player as he or she works to develop more difficult bowing techniques. We have
selected this particular model Brazilwood bow because it offers more to the player than
the introductory level Pernambuco bow.
Also included in the violin outfit
is an oblong case covered with water-resistant nylon Cordura and lined with attractive
blue, wine, or green velour fabric.
